Getting a passport is an important document for anyone who wishes to travel abroad. For minors who wish to travel with their parents or guardians, obtaining a passport is equally important. In India, the process for applying for a minor's passport has become much easier in recent years, thanks to the ability to apply for one online. Step 4: Pay the Application Fee
The application fee for a minor's passport is Rs. 1,000. This fee can be paid online using a debit or credit card, or through net banking.
Step 5: Schedule an Appointment
After paying the application fee, you will need to schedule an appointment at a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). You can choose the PSK location that is most convenient for you. At the time of the appointment, you will need to bring all of your original documents, including the application form and fee receipt.
Step 6: Visit the Passport Seva Kendra
On the day of the appointment, you will need to visit the Passport Seva Kendra. A passport officer will review your application and documents to ensure that everything is in order. If everything is in order, your application will be accepted and your passport will be processed. If there are any issues with your application, you will be notified and given the opportunity to correct them.
Step 7: Track the Status of Your Application
After submitting your application, you can track the status of your passport online using the application reference number provided at the time of submission. Once your passport is ready, you will be notified and can either pick it up in person or have it delivered to your home address.
